FENTON, Mich. — Christian Anderson Band returned to the stage July 30 for an emotional concert at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church in Fenton, Michigan, marking Christian Anderson’s first performance following his public announcement that he was cancer-free.

The free concert represented a significant new chapter for the faith-based singer, songwriter and producer, whose February 2025 cancer diagnosis threatened both his health and his ability to continue singing.

Anderson has shared that doctors warned the surgery he needed carried the risk that he might lose his ability to speak or sing.

Anderson subsequently underwent surgery, six weeks of quarantine and radiation treatment.

Despite the uncertainty surrounding his diagnosis and treatment, Anderson continued creating music and transformed the experience into the foundation for “I Still Have My Faith.”

The song became an anthem of perseverance rooted in Anderson’s conviction that although his circumstances could change nearly everything around him, they could not take away his faith.

The music video for “I Still Have My Faith” was filmed following radioactive treatment and released Feb. 11, 2026, marking the first anniversary of Anderson’s diagnosis.

“Returning to the stage within a month of being declared cancer-free felt like living in my purpose. There’s nothing else I’d rather be doing than sharing the gospel through my art,” Anderson said.

The 11-song Fenton performance opened with “Breakout” and included “You Don’t Fight This Alone,” which was featured near the final scene of the motion picture No Address.

The set also featured “My Father’s Arms,” “As Iron Sharpens,” “God Please,” “O Come Emmanuel (Gloria),” “I Heard the Bells (Peace on Earth),” “Fall on Grace,” “I Still Have My Faith,” “His Weapon Is Love” and “You Pull Me Up.”

One of the evening’s defining moments came when Anderson performed “I Still Have My Faith,” bringing the song’s message full circle as he sang it publicly following his cancer-free announcement.

“I Heard the Bells (Peace on Earth)” previously peaked at No. 2 on Christian Music Weekly, while “You Don’t Fight This Alone,” featured near the final scene of No Address, introduced Anderson’s music to film audiences. According to filmmaker Robert Craig, No Address is a top 10 movie on the Angel Studios Network.

A New Season of Music and Ministry

The Fenton concert marked the beginning of a new season for Anderson as he continues returning to live music, developing new material and sharing the testimony formed through his diagnosis, treatment and recovery.

Anderson’s journey has also given renewed significance to the message behind his music. Songs centered on perseverance, faith, hope and God’s presence now carry the perspective of an artist who has personally experienced those themes through one of the most difficult seasons of his life.

The return to performing also creates new opportunities for Anderson to share his story with audiences facing their own seasons of fear, uncertainty, illness or loss.

Through Christian Anderson Band, Anderson seeks to use music not only as entertainment, but also as a vehicle for hope, encouragement and testimony.

Media support surrounding Anderson’s return is being provided by Kingdom Impact Group in association with Today’s Christian Entertainment.

Additional music, performances, interviews and future announcements concerning Christian Anderson Band will be made available in the months ahead.
