About the Role
Kingdom Impact Group is seeking a Radio & Media Outreach Coordinator to support our growing roster of independent Christian artists across underrepresented music formats. You'll be the voice connecting our artists with radio stations, media outlets, and music platforms through strategic outreach and relationship-building.
This role combines radio promotion with media relations, focusing on consistent communication, professional follow-up, and relationship-building to help drive radio adds, media placements, and overall campaign momentum.
This position is ideal for someone who understands (or is eager to deeply learn) the Christian radio and media landscape, enjoys professional communication and follow-up, and wants to make a direct impact on artist careers.
This opportunity may be especially meaningful for someone who is organized, teachable, proactive, relational, and excited to gain hands-on experience in Christian music promotion, radio outreach, media relations, and artist development while contributing to a growing, mission-driven company. We are open to both experienced professionals and those who are eager to learn, as long as there is strong alignment with the mission, communication style, and contractor-based structure of the role.
Key Responsibilities
Including but not limited to:
Radio Promotion
- Execute radio promotion campaigns across Christian formats (CHH, Rock, CHR/Hot AC, AC/Inspo)
- Manage consistent weekly outreach to radio stations with professional email and phone follow-ups
- Track airplay activity, station adds, spins, and feedback using internal tracking systems
- Build and maintain relationships with program directors and music directors
- Research and expand radio station contact databases
- Maintain accurate campaign records and tracking spreadsheets
- Update campaign status and last contact dates for all active stations
- Assist with preparation of radio one-sheets and campaign materials
Media Relations & PR
- Pitch artists to Christian music blogs, podcasts, YouTube channels, and digital outlets
- Research and build media contact databases
- Craft compelling pitch emails tailored to each outlet's audience
- Conduct follow-up communications with media contacts to secure coverage
- Coordinate artist interviews and media appearances
- Track media coverage and compile press clips for clients
- Assist with press release distribution and promotional materials
- Maintain organized media contact lists with accurate information
Campaign Management
- Compose personalized and mass email campaigns promoting new releases
- Monitor responses and coordinate follow-up communications
- Support multiple artist campaigns simultaneously
- Track station and media outlet responses across campaigns
- Provide regular campaign updates and reporting
- Report on campaign performance and engagement metrics
- Ensure all promotional activity follows ethical and legal standards
Relationship Building & Database Growth
- Develop ongoing relationships with key radio programmers and media contacts
- Build and nurture relationships with music industry professionals
- Network within Christian music industry community
- Identify new opportunities with emerging stations and media outlets
- Research and identify new radio stations and media opportunities
- Find contact information for podcasters, bloggers, and content creators
- Verify and update existing contact information
- Represent Kingdom Impact Group professionally in all interactions
What We're Looking For
Required:
- Strong interest in Christian music and artist development
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Professional email etiquette and phone communication confidence
- Outgoing personality with genuine passion for connecting with others
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail
- Detail-oriented with strong follow-through
- Self-motivated and able to work independently and manage your own schedule
- Comfortable managing follow-ups across multiple campaigns simultaneously
- Comfort with email, spreadsheets, and organizational tools
- Proficiency with Google Sheets/Excel and email platforms
- Ability to build and maintain professional relationships
- Enthusiasm for independent Christian music and underrepresented genres
Preferred:
- Familiarity with Christian radio formats (especially CHH, Rock, CHR, AC/Inspo)
- Understanding of Christian music industry structure and media landscape
- Prior experience in radio promotion, PR, music marketing, or media outreach
- Experience in music promotion, radio, media, or similar field
- Knowledge of radio chart systems and reporting
- Existing relationships with Christian radio stations or media outlets
- Experience in artist interviews, content creation, or social media engagement
- Background in communications, journalism, or marketing
Possible Starting Lanes
Depending on experience, strengths, and availability, selected contractors may begin in one or more support areas, including:
- Radio outreach and follow-up
- Media pitching and interview outreach
- Campaign tracking and reporting
- Contact research and database updates
- Email campaign support
- Artist/media coordination
Some candidates may be ready for direct outreach quickly, while others may begin with research, tracking, or campaign support as they learn KIG’s systems, voice, and relationship-based approach.

Time Commitment & Compensation
This is a flexible independent contractor opportunity, not a full-time employee position. Hours may vary depending on active campaigns, client needs, and availability, with an estimated range of 5–15 hours per week depending on workload.
Compensation is project-based and will be discussed based on experience, responsibilities, campaign scope, and expected workload. We want to be transparent from the beginning so both sides can determine whether the opportunity is a good fit.
