Blending smooth contemporary R&B with introspective lyricism, “Dilemma” centers on a pivotal moment in Fahlkyn’s life as he stood on the edge of remarriage after experiencing profound loss. Having previously lost his first wife to complications from cancer, the artist found himself wrestling with fear—not of love itself, but of the possibility of enduring that kind of loss again. The song revisits that internal crossroads, where past pain and future promise collide.
